A tanning gun sprays the solution onto your skin once your tanning shade has been selected during your consultation. Your technician will ensure that the tanning solution is applied evenly and optimally to the parts of your body you wish to tan. Additionally, excess airbrush solution will not reach sensitive areas like the underarms, knees, and elbows that you do not want heavily tanned. The average duration of our tans lasts 7 to 10 days, and we recommend that our clients continue to wear sun protection to prevent sun damage.

Is Norvell spray tanning safe?
Yes, it is. Dihydroxyacetone, more commonly known as DHA, is the active ingredient in our tanning solution. The FDA has approved DHA for cosmetic use. DHA is both non-toxic and non-carcinogenic.
When can I shower after a Norvell Custom Spray Tan?
After getting a spray tan, you shouldn’t shower for at least 24 hours. During this time, you should also avoid sweating and swimming.
How long does it take for a Norvell Custom Spray Tan to develop?
It takes between 2-4 hours for tan to develop and 24 hours for it to be fully developed. After application, avoid getting wet for at least 24 hours.
How often can I get a Custom Spray Tan?
Our spray tans can be applied one time for a special event or once per week to keep your skin glowing all year. You should exfoliate any color left over from previous sessions before you come in for a new session.
